A copper-alloy Roman bracelet fragment. It is a rectangular stip, folded double, 16.76mm in length and 45.54mm in extended width, weighing 4.82g. It is decorated with narrow longitudinal bands of stamped circles alternating with wider plain bands. One short terminal has a band 8mm wide, which has three stamped motifs, of winged circles, ressembling sycamore keys. The other short terminal is incomplete due to old breaks. Broad armlets of this type are thought to date to the early Roman period, and examples have been found from Roman Colchester.
