Post Medieval lead cloth searchers seal formed of a rectangular strip of lead folded in half. The ends of the strip are secured by an integral rivet on one going through a hole in the other and being stamped flat with a crown stamp. Stamped on the strip (prior to bending) is: G' . FRANKS, mainly on one face. On the other face, the other way up, is 17- 60 with the 17 and 60 divided by three deeply stamped parallel lines. The seal is 42.0mm long 14.3mm wide, at the flattened end, 10.6mm wide at the fold and 4.0mm thick. It weighs 9.55g. The strip was 1.3mm thick. Searchers were of…

Plain silver needle of uncertain, probably Post Medieval date, c. AD 1400-1950. The needle has a sub-rectangular cross sectioned eye end which ends in a rounded terminal and then narrows and thins into the round shaft. At the point it ends in a flat end, probably a break as it is neither pointed nor rounded. The needle has a rectangular eye with slightly rounded corners and between the eye and the adjacent end there is a groove down each wide face, continuing the indent of the eye. Roman copper alloy figurine depicting the god Mars. The figurine shows a standing male with an helmet and short tunic. He has got a crest projecting out of the helmet c.1.4 mm in high and c.2.68mm in width. The crest runs along the centre across the top from his forehead and down the back of the helmet ending just before the neck, the crest is very worn and originally more prominent. The whole head measures 19.33 mm in length. Its face has got two indented circular eyes which may have held enamel or glass beads. The lower jaw and mouth area project slightly forward.
