Cast high-tin copper-alloy front of a composite hollow button. The front is hemispherical with a central pellet at the top surrounded by an incised design of a star or sun with a cenral circle with eight rays or points projecting from it and multiple parallel lines of hatching between each ray. It is 10.7mm in diameter; 5.7mm tall and weighs 0.86 grams. An identical example is illustrated in Read (2005:73, no.294) from south Somerset which he dates to the 17th to 18th century AD.

Jews' Harp cast from copper-alloy. One of the two prongs is missing. The remaining prong is short, 29.9mm, and has the characteristic lozenge shaped cross-section while the head is oval in section and plan. The rabbet on the head is formed of a slightly recessed slot flanked by two raised rectangular transverse bars. It is 57.7mm long, 28.5mm wide, 6.1mm thick, at the thickest point and weighs 7.38 grams. Jews harps do not change much in design so are hard to date, this example is most likely to be Late Medieval or Post Medieval in date.

Post Medieval cast copper alloy mount. The mount is flat and geometric in shape with a pointed terminal at the base flanked by oval knops above this it continues to widen then has two oval knops on each side, one above the other above which it ends in a rounded end. On the back are two integrally cast spikes which were pushed through the leather and bent over in the same direction at 90 degrees. The front shows traces of tinning. Post Medieval cast copper-alloy double-loop rectangular buckle frame and pin. The frame is plain with two rectangular loops; the one which the strap would have gone under before wrapping around the strap bar is recessed and bevelled underneath to fit it. The strap bar is slightly bent in the middle. pin has a circular sectioned shank with a pointed end and flattened oval sectioned loop wrapped 260 degrees around the bar, possibly flattened wire. It is 23.6mm long by 20.9mm wide, 3.8mm thick and weighs 4.36 grams. Whitehead (1993, p.75) illustrate a similarly plain buckles, e.g. no.457…

Cast copper alloy weight stamped with S//21 on both sides indicating it is a weight for a Guinea (from 1717 priced at 21 shillings). 17.2mm in diameter, 4.6mm thick and weighs 8.02 grams, 124.4 grains. The weight of a guinea was 129.5 grains but this weight will reflect the legal minimum which was slightly lighter. This type of weight comes from a set of up to eleven weights produced around 1760-1773; such sets were made by a wide range of traders to weigh the range of gold coins in circulation at the time (Withers and Withers (1995: 52)).

A Post Medieval cast copper-alloy acorn shaped mount, probably 1500-1700 AD. The front is slightly convex and the back concave. The larger cup is separated from the smaller nut on the front by a transverse double incised curved line. There is a small knop at the top of the nut and a rounded knop making a stub of the stalk at the base of the cup. On the back are stubs of integral rivets for attachment, one near the top and one near the bottom. Post Medieval cast lead-alloy uni-face circular token, 1500-1850 AD. The token has raised initials on one side with a faint line underneath and a pellet between, probably J or I T or possibly TL retrograde. The reverse is plain. The token measures 17.3 mm in diameter, 2.5 mm thick, and weighs 5.29 grams. Lead tokens were locally made and had a wide variety of uses; they are therefore hard to date precisely but those with initials are thought to be Post Medieval in date.

Small fragment of the lower hemisphere of a Post Medieval - Modern cast spherical bell with makers mark. The fragment comprises a section to one side of the sound slit. It is decorated with a sunburst pattern with a semi circular cell to one side of the slit inscribed with part of the makers mark oW[o]. Post Medieval cast lead-alloy circular uni-faced token. The token has a raised design of an initial T on one side, the other side is blank. There is a small circular hole, punched through from the front measuring 1.7mm. It is 17.2mm in diameter, 2.7mm thick and weighs 4.45 grams. Lead tokens had a wide variety of uses and were made locally, they are therefore hard to date precisely but those with initials are generally thought to be Post Medieval in date, c.1500-1850 AD.
