Two body sherds from two seperate sand and shell tempered vessels, probably dating to the late 12th to late 13th century AD.
Piece 1: a body sherd with old breaks on all four sides it has an angle near the base where the wall of the vessel was angled obliquely inwards. Mid orange with heavy tempering. 67.4mm by 33.3mm by 8.5mm and 24.7 grams.
Piece 2: a body sherd with old breaks on all four sides; it is light-mid orange with a darker core and heavy tempering. 36.0mm by 30.0mm by 6.7mm and 8.39 grams.

Cast copper alloy foot and leg from a large vessel. The leg is rectangular in plan widening out into a trapizoid foot (with front wider than the back) giving the entire piece a triangular cross section. There is a raised rib running down the centre of the front of the leg and foot. One corner of the foot has broken away due to an old break and the top of the leg is also a rough break. There are extensive areas of sooting on the leg and foot. It is 33.2mm tall, and the foot is 51.9mm wide by 28.6mm thick; it weighs 152 grams. Irregular shaped rounded piece of lead with some fired ceramic attached to one side. The lead could be part of a pot repair or a blob of lead which has fallen, while molton, onto the ceramic and become attached. According to Luke Barber the pottery could be Roman or Post medieval but too little remains to distinguish further.
It is 26.1mm long, 21.9mm wide, 8.9mm thick and weighs 21.91 grams.

Body sherd of a Samian ware vessel with raised decoration. The Samian is probably a Central Gaulish type of late 1st to early 2nd century and the curve of the sherd suggests it belows to an open vessel such as a bowl. It is decorated with a fine dark orange slip and the fabric is mid orange. The decoration consits of plain and beaded lines and part of an animal, possible a lion. The decoration was formed by throwing the vessel on a wheel into a decorated mould.

Body sherd of colour coated ware vessel with barbotine decoration. The fabric is pale grey/buff with sparse large quartz inclusions (less than 5%); the slip coating is a dark grey brown. The barbotine decoration was done onto the wheel thrown vessel before it was coated in slip. The body sherd is curved and could be form an open vessel such as a bowl or a closed vessel such as a beaker. It is probably Colchester ware but could be one of the varients of Nene Valley ware and could date from 125 AD to 400 AD. It is 31.3mm long, 26.1mm wide, 4.8mm thick and weighs 5.62 grams.

Four fragments of four different glazed earthernware vessels. Part of a larger collection of mostly 18-20th century material found in a garden. The remainder consisted of fragments of a range of 18th - 20th century storage and serving wares (mostly 19th century transfer printed stonewares), clay pipe stems, land drains, flower pots, and bottle and window glass.

Cast copper alloy foot and leg from a large vessel. The leg is triangular in plan and section with a raised rib running down the centre of the front. The back and sides are slightly stepped in 2/3rds of the way down creating a narrower foot. There is some of the vessel side attached at the top suggesting this was an original leg cast integrally with the pot. It narrows from 48.4mm by 33.9mm at the top to 20.8mm by 13.1mm at the foot. It has numerous (c.40%) coarse sand inclusions and is mid-grey brown in colour. The edges are heavily abraded suggesting it has been in the plough soil for some time. Cast copper alloy pot leg and foot with an old break at the attachment end. The leg is rectangular in cross section and widens gradually towards the foot. When the foot is flat the leg sits at c.60 degrees and the front is a concave curve. The foot is trapizoid with a wider front than back. There are traces of sooting on the front. It is 29.6mm long, 30.1mm wide, 16.5mm thick and weighs 52.01 grams. Crude cast copper alloy cooking vessels were popular from c.1250-1650 AD.

Fragment 1 has a small projecting rim on the outside. It projects at 90 dregrees from the upright wall suggesting it is from a jar or similar vessel. It is pale grey and the outer side is darker. It is too small to estimate the original diameter. It weighs 10 grams.
