A fragment of flint blade, possible Neolithic to Bronze Age in date (c.4500-1000 BC). The fragment is sub-rectangular in plan and triangular in cross section. The dorsal surface is partially cortical with two negative scars. There appears to have been some preparative strikes around the point of impact. The ventral surface has the butt of the striking platform, the bulb of percussion and cracking ripples. The bottom of the blade has been lost due to an old break. The blade is of very dark grey flint of high quality. 26.2mm long, 19.2mm wide, 3.5mm thick and weighs 2.57 grams.
