Copper alloy double oval loop buckle fragment of Medieval to Post Medieval. The frame has a convex upper surface, bevelled inner edges,a D-shaped section and the reverse is flat. One loop is complete the other is broken. There are transverse grooves on the upper surface. The bar is narrowed and D-shaped in section. (W. 3.29mm. Th. 2.64mm). The pin is D-shaped in section and narrows to a blunt point. There is a longitudinal groove in the middle and it is mid-green patina. Patchy dark-green patina.

It is slightly convex with a ridge on the inner surface, ?result of casting process. The bar is narrowed, sub-oval section with a lateral notch on the reverse (for pin?) (Width 3.42mm). Medieval copper alloy double oval loop buckle with plate. The upper surface is convex, the reverse is flat and it is D-shaped in section. The outer edge on one loop is expanded and straight. The plate is folded with a long pin slot and is slightly angled on one side for frame. The upper plate is sub-square with traces of iron staining on the upper surface and an iron rivet is attached to the reverse.
