The oval-shaped single looped frame has a convex upper surface, bevelled inner edges and is broadly sub-oval in section. The outer edge is thicker with two prominent lobed knops flanking three lateral grooves on a narrowed outer edge. The reverse is flat and the frame is slightly angled. Fragment of a copper alloy oval loop buckle with integral forked spacer of Medieval date. The upper surface is convex with bevelled inner edges and a pointed notched pin rest in centre. The forked spacers (W. 14.62mm. Th. 2.05mm) are broken off and there are two longitudinal grooves on the upper surface near the bar. The reverse is flat and it is broadly D-shaped in section. There are longitudinal grooves on both surfaces between the knop and frame on the outer edge. The reverse is slightly flattened and sub-oval in section. The bar and pin are missing. Patchy dark-green patina (frame) and patchy light green patina (roller).
