Incomplete Roman copper-alloy finger ring fragment with glass setting, dated AD c.100-300. Oval bezel with high straight sides tapering to the hoop which is broken off. Blue-green glass setting damaged, apparently heat affected and with part broken away; there is a narrow line of red around part of the edge of the glass where it meets the bezel - posibly corrosion product connected to the type of adhesive used. Bezel length 13.8mm, width 9.6mm, thickness 8.5mm, overall thickness including broken hoop 11.4mm, weight 3.9g.

Fragment of a hand-turned rotary quern, made from volcanic basalt lava probably imported from the Rhine area. Probably the lower stone.
