A gold, V-shaped finger ring. The hoop is slender and circular in cross-section, and is an oval bent to form a ring which when placed on the finger would zig-zag around it. There is no bezel and no decoration on the hoop. This type of ring is rare but known from the Iron Age. The closest parallel is from Park Brow, Sompting, West Sussex, dating from 400-200 BC. See Cunliffe 'Iron Age Communities in Britain' for another similar object, although made of silver. See KENT-5235BB for more detail on V-shaped gold rings.
