A Thinning flake from a larger bifacial tool, possibly from a hand axe. Mid - late Neolithic, c. 2.900 - 2.500 BC. Length: 45.50 mm, width: 33.16 mm, thickness: 8.16 mm, weight: 14.84 g. In mottled black flint with semi-polished surfaces. There is edge damage along both the distal end and left leading edge, probably a result of plough damage. There are flake scars over dorsal surface that are fairly large and irregular. Possibly re-used as a side scraper.

Perforated Stone Battle Axe, Hammer Head Early Bronze Age c. 2.300- 1200 BC. A fragment of a Battle Axe, or stone Hammer, Made from either Millstone Grit, or Oolitic Limestone that' s been ground and worked. Trapezoidal in shape and tapering down to a blunt point, with a hole through the centre at which point the axe has fractured, the hole would of been approximately 24.30 mm in diameter. The top surface being concave in shape, and the sides being flat and with fairly sharp edges, two edges showing some signs of wear.

A bronze Celtic stater. Update May 2022: From the decription this sounds like a coin of Cunobelin; An Iron Age copper-alloy unit of the North Thames Region / Catuvellauni and Trinovantes, struck in the name of Cunobelin, dating to the period AD 10-40, similar to (if not actually) 'Cunobelinus Centaur' type. Obverse: [CVNOBELINI], Laureate head left. Reverse: [TASCIOVANI F], A centaur right, blowing a horn. As ABC, p. 141, no. 2957; BMC (Hobbs) nos.1968-1971; VA 2089.

A third century base silver radiate of Probus, c. AD 276 - 282. The obverse shows a radiate, draped and cuirassed bust facing to the left. The bust is draped in a consular robe and is also holding an eagle-tipped sceptre. The obverse inscription reads: IMP PROB - VS PF AVG. The reverse shows Sol in a galloping quadriga, to the left, with the inscription: SOLI INVICTO.

An incomplete copper alloy slide key handle for a tumbler lock, c. early 2nd century AD. Length 42 .65 mm. Topped by a suspension loop with transverse mouldings just below the loop. The grip is rectangular in section, tapering slightly outwards towards the base. The lower portion with the iron teeth of the key are missing.

A Scandinavian brooch, 9th century, of openwork lozenge form, in very good condition and with decoration moulded in relief. The perforations leave a simple cross motif with a globule in the centre. The arms of the cross terminate in stylised animal heads, the eyes small domes in sunk relief, inboard of which are pairs of larger oval elements at an angle to one another, which represent ears. Anglo Saxon 6th century, Small - Long brooch. Copper Alloy small rectangular head plate no decoration around edges. An arched bow rounded in section and is concave on the underside ,having a small square faceted moulding. Foot originates in a moulding with an expanded triangular terminal. On the reverse has a single hinge, pin missing with catch plate intact. Length: 61.69 mm, Width across Head: 22.11, Weight: 13.99g

Circular copper-alloy brooch, 24 mm in diameter, with a raised border decorated with closely spaced transverse nicks. Neatly filling most of the sunken centre is a backward-looking animal in counter-relief, with four legs, a long neck and a large tail curled over the back. No details appear to have been added to the animal - there is no eye or mane - but the brooch is quite worn, and so these may have once been present. A 7th century Anglo-Saxon secondary type, series E. continental sceat, c. AD 720 - 740. The obverse shows a porcupine-like figure, with parallel lines in the curve of the body and a triangle at one end. The reverse shows a standard with two angles and lines in corners with a central annulet. Most examples such as this are from the Rhine area or Frisia.
