Fragment of a cast, copper-alloy, single-looped, D-shaped buckle of probable 12th to 14th C. AD date. The only remaining elements of the original buckle are the loop and a small piece of the plate. The loop measures 13.7mm high by 12.6mm wide and 1.3mm thick. It has three moulded knobs and two horizontal ribs on its outer edge, but no pin rest. The bar is offset and has a small remnant of the folded buckle plate attached. The object weighs 1.06g.

Incomplete copper-alloy casket key of probable late 12th to early 14th C. AD date (see ref.). The bow is damaged, with approximately two thirds missing. It is oval in section and, originally, would have measured approximately 12mm high by 11mm wide. A moulded collar separates the bow from the stem. The stem is sub-circular in section, hollow, and measures 19.9mm long by 4.7mm high and 3.1mm wide. The bit has a single ward and cleft and a horizontal channel at the top. Overall, the object measures 32mm long and weighs 3.18g.

Cast copper-alloy hooked tag of probable early post-medieval date. The central plate has the moulded design of a flower, probably a rose. This is comprised of a small central circular knob with, outside this, a circular arrangement of rectangles laid end to end, and, on the outer edges, a petal pattern which is punctuated on each side by three small holes. Between the central plate and the hook is an area of moulded decoration. The hook is damaged and incomplete. Half of a copper-alloy hinged furniture fitting of post-medieval date (cf. Read 1988: 161-162, no. 1085). The object measures 32.3mm wide by 27.9mm high and 1.4mm thick and is of an ornate openwork design. The hinge appears to have been formed by bending the segmened lower part of the clasp around an iron bar. The design of the plate is symmetrical. Damaged copper-alloy Roman brooch. Colchester type two-piece brooch of 1st C. AD date. The head measures 14.1mm wide and 3.6mm high. It has a damaged central lug and, above this, a bent rearward hook. The bow is severely twisted at the top and the general condition of the object is poor. The bow is sub-circular in section, with a slightly flattened underside. It tapers in diameter, from 3.5mm at the top, to a point at the foot. There is only a remnant of the catchplate and the spring and pin are missing. Overall, the object measures 59.9mm high by 14.1mm wide and weighs 4.73g.

Copper-alloy mount of possible medieval date. The object is lozenge-shaped and is slightly domed. It measures 30.7mm high by 19.5mm wide and 0.6mm thick. It has two small circular holes, one at each of its narrower angles and, between this, two openwork triangles, each aligned so that the narrow points are adjacent to the rivet holes. The surfaces are slightly corroded. No exact parallel could be found but the style of the piece suggests that it is probably a belt mount of mid 13th to mid 14th C. It weighs 2.37g.

The head is 11.8mm wide and has five coils of a damaged copper-alloy spring remaining. This is attached to the head by an external chord which passes through a rearward hook. The bow is sub-circular in section, being slightly flattened on the underside. It is 4.5mm in diameter at the top and tapers to a point at the foot. The catchplate is largely missing. The overall dimensions of the brooch are 48.8mm high by 12.9mm wide. The weight is 6.41g.

Incomplete copper-alloy pin of middle early medieval (Anglo-Saxon) date. The head of the pin is a flattened bi-conical shape and measures 8.7mm diameter by 7.6mm high. A simple raised collar exists between the base of the head and the shaft. The remaining portion of the shaft measures 25.4mm long by 1.9mm diameter and has no swelled portion. The overall dimensions are 33.3mm long by 8.7mm wide. The weight is 3.38g.

The ring has two squared-off termninals which probably originally sat opposite each other with a small gap in between. The object is now badly bent and corroded. The hoop measures 4.4mm high by 1.6mm thick. The ring as a whole measures 23.9mm long by 13mm wide, in its current condition. The weight of the artefact is 3.49g.
