An early Anglo-Saxon copper alloy mount, dating circa 470-600. The mount is anthropomorphic and nearly complete. Overall, the mount is flat and subrectangular on plan. At the top is a flat panel with a rounded terminal. A hole runs through the panel. This hole was originally circular but has apparently worn into an egg-shape perhaps through pressure being asserted to the top of the hole over time. An incomplete cast copper alloy Roman Colchester Derivative Hinged brooch dating to c.AD 75-150. Mackreth 2011, CD  H 9.b, East Midlands Enamelled At the head of the brooch the wings are cylindrical with a rectangular slot to accommodate the pin, which is missing. One wing is missing. From the head of the bow are two rectangular depressions decreasing in size, each of which is decorated with an incised X.. A cast copper alloy pelta shaped vessel foot. An upward curled knop is located at both ends, and two further curved knops extend upwards at the centre. One side has a pitted mid-green surface while the other has a smooth silver coloured surface with patches of iron corrosion. Notes: This form of vessel foot is one of three or four soldered to the base of small bucket or bowl.
