Description: An incomplete silver gilt strap fitting. Consisting of an incomplete oval shaped plate, which has a complete integral hook projecting from one end and is missing its terminal due to old breaks at the other. The plate tapers in width and thickness towards the missing terminal end and its front face is decorated with a representation of a wing of a bird. With transverse rows of small U-shaped feathers next the hooked terminal behind which there are longer feathers which curve to meet at a pointed tip. Description: An incomplete gilded silver swivel of medieval date. It is made in two parts; an oval handle with hollow cylindrical shaft at its base, and a separate incomplete cylindrical rod, which fits within this. The handle has a rounded lozenge-shaped cross-section with animal-headed terminals; these are moulded and have elongated oval ears, large oval eyes and widely gaping jaws forming triangular flanges with moulded tongues within.

Description: A silver complete swivel of medieval date. It consists of a pair of loops, with an integral bolt on the smaller, oval-shaped loop fitting inside a hole in the straight bar of the larger D-shaped loop.
The larger D-shaped loop also has a D-shaped section, there is a central circular hole, 2.73mm in diameter, through its straight bar. The loop has animal heads to either side of the bar. An incomplete copper-alloy medieval swivel, only one of the D-shaped copper-alloy loops of this swivel survive. A second D-shaped loop would have been attached to the first via a bolt, also missing, swivels are multi-purpose objects. This example has a oval sectioned loop and its terminals are shaped like animal heads, each head has two tiny ears, a long forehead, bulbous eyes and a flaring straight ended snout each head grasps in its mouth the straight perforated bar of the D-shaped loop. A copper-alloy probably medieval strap fitting consisting of two parts, both cast. One is a rectangular shaft with a rectangular loop at one temrinal end, through this loop passes the hooked terminal of the second part which also has a rectangular shaft. Both parts have a D-shaped section and an integral cylindrical rivet projecting from the back face. This strap fitting measures 43.47mm in total length and 8.74mm in width.

A copper-alloy folded sheet retangular plate which could be a medieval buckle plate. It is folded widthways and the folded end has a U-shaped notch to one side, which may be a pin slot. The terminal end has two copper-alloy rivets through it. It measures 16.95mm in length and 10.53mm in width.

A copper-alloy incomplete Roman probable strap fitting. It has a curvilinear plate, which is incomplete due to old worn breaks, this is flat and projecting from its centre on the back face there is an integral rectangular loop. This loop is presumably for the strap to be attached or pass through. There are patches of active powdery green corrosion products but overall patina is dark brown. This fitting measures 27.51mm in width and 16.23mm in surviving height.

A folded sheet copper-alloy mount with a copper-alloy circular pendant hanging from it of medieval date. The mount is rectangular with two rivet holes through its open end, it measures 7.94mm in length and 3.97mm in width. The pendant has a straight constriction around which this mount is bent. The pendant measures 12.75mm in length and 12.31mm in width.

A fragment of a copper-alloy sheet unidentified object which perhaps functioned as a strap fitting and is most likely to be of medieval date. It is roughly rectangular in shape with one edge incomplete and worn. One face is decorated with border of punched annulets, traces of gilding can also be seen on this face, and the other has a cross on it. This object measures 23.17mm by 20.95mm in size.

A copper-alloy early post medieval sword belt fitting, consistsing of an oval shaped cast plate with an integral hook at one end. The front face is rounded and back face concave, the terminal end has a moulded triangular knop, perhaps meant to represent an acorn and the hook at the other end curves backwards abruptly and its tip is missing. There are two corroded iron remains of rivets though the plate. It measures 40.14mm in length and 13.55mm in width.

A copper-alloy 16th century sword belt fitting. The plate is roughly rectangular in shape, with the two rivet holes one with the remains of a corroded iron rivet through it. The plate has a flaring terminal with a V-shaped notch in its centre. The other end is hooked with a copper-alloy ring suspended from it. The plate measures 29.87mm in length and 12.79mm in width, the suspension loop is circular and 12.74mm in external diameter and 7.50mm in internal diameter.

An incomplete cast copper-alloy late Roman 'propeller' belt stiffener, usually associated with the late Roman military, they continue to be used into the early fifth century. They are common site finds especially along the northern frontiers (Bishop and Coulston 1993, 173-4, 3 and 5), others have been found in Suffolk see SF-A69941 from Barking.

A copper-alloy early post medieval sword belt fitting consisting of a roughly triangular shaped plate with one hooked terminal. The plate measures 34.48mm in length and 13.73mm in width. The wider end has a V-shaped notch in its terminal edge. There are two rivet holes through the centre of the plate, one above the other, with corroded iron within them. The narrower terminal tapers to form a hook which curves backwards.
