Late Neolithic/Early Bronze Age flint knife, made from blade of opaque Lincolnshire Wolds flint/ Dorsal face flat, showing the use of a soft hammer. Ventral face bears two main facets and at one end is an area of neat retouch, invasive, sub-parallelled, low angle. The knife has been burned and its surfaces are covered with craze-cracking. This burning suggests the presence of a hearth in the immediate area. Length 36.2mm, Width 24.1mm, Thickness 6.0mm, Mass 5.08g.

35 pieces of flint working debitage, probably Early Neolithic, c. 4,000-3,300BC, all made from the same, mid-grey, translucent flint. 19 pieces show tertiary flint working (second image) and 16 secondary flint working (first image) retaining some of the original cortex. The nature of this suggests the use of flint cobbles as raw material. The flints can be described as 'blade like flakes' which, with the use of a soft hammer, supports the Early Neolithic dating. Only one piece is recorticated, and possilby intrusive, the rest is clean and the assemblage appears homogeneous.
