Two sherds of colour coated New Forest fineware. The fabric is fine and well fired with a reduced pale grey core and oxidised margins. The surfaces were covered in a grey-brown slip which has been abraded away over much of the exterior surfaces. One plain rim from a a beaker with cordon decoration. I sherd of glazed earthernware. A fragment of pottery handle. The fabric is grey-white with some slight, orange oxidisation at the margins below the glaze. It is tempered with abundant, fairly fine sand and has no other visible inclusions. The handle is decorated on its upper surface with a line of impressed four-quadrant, circular stamps, two and a half of them on the remaining fragment. The remaining four sherds are pinkish red with frequent white inclusions and the slip is thinner with a matt finish. 1 sherd from a footring and 5 undiagnostic body sherds. A large copper alloy vessel foot from a cauldron or skillet. The foot is tri-lobed at the front, giving a W shaped cross section. The lobes form ridges running up the body of the foot creating a paw-like shape. At the back the foot is convex and hs a retangular sectioned mid-rib running longitudinally. A possible vessel foot. Cast copper alloy. The object has an oval cross section, is waisted and has a rounded bi-lobed terminal. In overall shape it is reminiscent of a bone from mammal phalanges (finger or toe bone). The surface of the other terminal is irregular and rough suggesting this was attached to another object, possibly as a foot for a vessel or other object. One sherd of glazed earthernware. Reduced grey core with oxidised orange margins. The dark green glaze has beed patchily applied over the surface of the handle. There is off-white slip in the grooves of the twist, while the raised ridges are bare.The fabric is tempered with fine sand. A barley twist style jug handle formed from a grooved circular sectioned handle which was then twisted. The rim of the jug is plain and has an internal lid seat.
