Incomplete copper alloy hollow button. The button is sub-circular in plan (14.01mm dia) with a domed polygonal multifaceted head. The topmost part of the head is hexagonal coming to an obtuse point at the apex. The attachment on the reverse is missing and there is evidence of silver plate or tinning on the front surface. Circa 1650-1750 AD.

A Roman (AD 43-410) copper-alloy penannular bracelet with one squared-off ends, one of which is slightly thicker than the other. The bracelet has a D-shaped cross section. Decoration is confined to the thickened terminal and comprises a short groove just behind the outside edge, with a pair of short grooves behind.
The band measures 4.16x1.79mm at the middle, narrowing to 2.84x0.98mm at the narrower end and 4.17x2.72mm at the thickened end. The bracelet measures 48.91mm in width and 50.41mm in length, and weighs 5.22g. The patina is a smooth, shiny and very dark brown.

An incomplete Prehistoric flint end-scraper, dating from the Neolithic to Bronze Age periods (c.4000 BC to c.801 BC). The object is roughly square in plan and has an elliptical cross section. The edges of the scraper have been re-touched. One end of the item appears to have been snapped or broken away. The flint is opaque and honey coloured, with occasional flecks of white. Length:28mm; Width: 20mm; Thickness: 8mm.

Incomplete copper alloy Medieval annular buckle or possibly brooch pin. The pin is broken across the loop where it would attach to the frame. There are two transverse ridges on the upper surface of the pin adjacent to the loop. The pin has a rectangular cross-section and tapers wedge-like in thickness to a broad point. Similar pins are shown in Egan and Pritchard; Dress Accessories 1150-1450; p115; and date to circa 1300-1500 AD. Dimensions; 48.22mm long, thickness 7.28mm, width 4.28.

Incomplete copper alloy early Post Medieval hooked tag. The main body of the tag is sub-rectangular in plan with a central circular hole flanked on either side by a trefoil group of circular holes. The attachment end has an extant rectangular openwork slot whilst the opposite end tapers down to blunt point from where the hook is missing from an old break. A coin hoard of 5249 silver coins, including two cut halfpennies, of Aethelred & Cnut in a lead parcel.
The coins were in a brittle lead container, fragmented by the weight of the soil. Some of the surface of this had been damaged and close-packed coins could be seen within. We cleaned away the soil around what appeared to be a parcel made from an oblong of sheet lead [2.03-1.37mm thick] wrapping round the pile of coins. The expanded flat-topped bezel is in the style of a signet ring with the very worn and corroded remnants of a design; possibly a cross pattee within a circle. The 'D' cross section hoop tapers to either side of the bezel before truncating at old breaks. Circa 16th-17th century AD.

The head fragment of a copper allow Roman bow brooch, probably of Polden Hill type. It is broken approximately halfway down the length of the bow and the foot and catchplate are missing; one of the arms of the crossbar is also missing. Iron staining indicates the former position of the spring. The fragment measures 21.7x20x11.8mm and weighs 7.5g.

An incomplete copper-alloy folding strap-clasp, dating from the Medieval period.
Only the inner end of the frame remains, including the axis bar, around which the plate has been folded. A copper-alloy object, probably representing a Late Iron Age to Early Roman cosmetic mortar.
The object appears to take the form of a sea creature, with downward curving neck, stylised, tapering, head and downward curving, trilobate tail. Overall, the object has an elongated-S-shaped form, the width gradually decreasing towards the tail. A deep groove occupies much of the back. On the underside of the body is a right-angled fin.

A complete cast copper alloy Roman gilded disc oval plate brooch with dark glass inset, dating from 200-350 AD. The brooch is oval in plan with a large cone-shaped glass inset in the centre.
