A fragment of a pedestal base from a large Roman vessel, possibly a flat-bottomed amphora (cf. Gauloise 4 type). The fabric is buff coloured, hard fired and sandy with abundant mica. The sides are 11mm thick and the vessel would have been fairly robust. The base pedestal has a flat bottom and is 68mm in diameter. Circa 1st-3rd century AD.

A handle from a Roman jug or small amphora. The fabric is hard fired and sandy, oxidised reddish brown to buff coloured, with fine sand inclusions. The handle is 27.3mm wide with a rounded sub rectangular cross section and has a pair of parallel grooves running down the outside.

Complete copper-alloy Roman strap end. With a elongated oval body a terminal knop and horizontal attachment end with a central integral loop set at right angles to the plane of the strap end. The front face is decorated with annulets arranged in lines hoirzontally and vertically. Most similar in attachment device to a Tortworth strap end (Henry 2022, 84-85), but also reminiscent in shape to Amphora shaped strap ends. A fragment from a vessel, probably a jug or a small amphora of Roman date, circa Ad 43-410.  The fragment consists of a small section of rim and body that contains the remains of the handle. The remains of the handle have a width of 42.3 mm. The fabric is a cream colour with frequent inclusions between 1 to 2 mm in size. The fabric is abraded in the internal surface.  The fragment measures 63.2 mm in height, 61.1 mm in width, 19 mm in thickness and weighs 57.4 grams.

A rim sherd of a ceramic amphora dating to the Roman period, c. AD 43-250. The sherd is roughly rectangular in plan and drop-shaped in profile. Handmade from a distinctive thick oxidised gritty fabric. An incomplete Late Roman copper alloy strapend, dating to c. AD 350-400. Probably part of an amphora-shaped strapend of continental manufacture. Complete late Roman copper-alloy hinged amphora-shaped strap end. It is flat and except for a pair of pivot loops at the attachment edge are set perpendicular. These hold in-situ the remnants of an axis bar, now coated in corrosion products.
