A complete copper alloy Jetton probably of late Medieval date c.late 14th to 15th century. Uncertain type, possibly hybrid Anglo-French of crude Flanders type. It has a green patina but is encrusted and mostly unclear. Obverse: Square shield unevenly placed in a tressure of three arches. Legend: "+VTDTVTI'TVTV[__]TV[____]". Reverse: uncertain design within four arches possibly opposed fleur de lis in each arch and fleur de lis in outer section. The reverse legend is illegible. Diameter: 22.28mm, Thickness: .76mm, Weight: 1.54g.

Copper alloy counter of a spade half-guinea of George III, but produced many years after the half-guinea became obsolete, even though it is dated to 1788 on the reverse, this is an arbitrary date. There was a revival later in the 19th century, during Victoria's reign, because the counters could not be confused with the coins that were legal tender at the time. A post-medieval copper-alloy Nuremberg jetton of anonymous issuer dated 1553 (on jetton). Rechen meister type, '1553' series inscribed with the alphabet and a date. Minted at Nuremberg. See Mitchiner (1988, 415; no. 1424). This jetton has a diameter of 22mm, and a weight of 3.022g. It has been pierced probably through the obverse well inside the circumference at about 4 o'clock, corresponding to about 2 o'clock on the reverse.
