An oblong piece of encrusted iron, possible salvage from wreck, of unknown date. The item comprises of a sub-rectangular shank which extends roughly 36 mm before gradually widening to a narrow iron ring which measures 5.7 mm 28.9 mm wide, 5.3 mm long and 20.3 mm high. This ring is only visible on one side of the item, as the other is now completely encrusted by stone concretion. from this narrow ring, the object then extends in an irregular, encrusted sub-oval body which has a maximum length of 38.5 mm. A cast copper alloy Medieval harness pendant in the form of a shield dating from about AD 1250-1350. It has a suspension loop projecting from the centre of the upper edge at right angles to the plane of the pendant. The surface is very worn and there is no longer any evidence of decoration apart form a faint recessed cross saltire.  It has a red and grey patchy patina. An incomplete post-Medieval cast copper alloy strap fitting, a mount, dating from AD 1500 - 1700. The mount is broadly sub-rectangular with an oval centre and a reel shaped element at each end, all integral. Projecting from the reverse are the remains of two integral attachment spikes. An incomplete copper alloy Roman Trumpet brooch dating from AD 75 - 175. The spring is corroded, but is threaded on a sleeve held by a single hoop behind the head. The pin is missing. The head is undecorated and has a straight top, perhaps the result of damage. There are three mouldings above the knop; two plain collars flanking a beaded one, and the same decoration below the knop. The petalled knop is only moulded on the front of the bow. A complete copper alloy button and loop fastener dating to the Roman period (AD 50 - AD 200). The head of the fastener is teardrop shaped, with a circular central boss surrounded by a raised cordon which is drawn out into a point. The shank extends straight down from the reverse of the head, and bends at 90 degrees before forming a circular attachment loop.
