A small fragment of probably Roman wall plaster. It has a relatively soft white fabric with gritty inclusions, terminating in old breaks in all directions. The surface has been flattened, smoothed and painted with a red/pink (red ochre) with a small portion remaining. Whether this formed part of a main panel or a border between panels on a painted plaster surface is uncertain due to the preservation of the object.

An incomplete copper-alloy small square-headed brooch of Early Medieval date. The head plate, bow, foot are extant. The rectangular headplate with raised, linear moulding following the same shape as the headplate. The bow is gently arched with a prominent raised rib vertically down the centre. The foot decoration consists of three vertical lines with a triangle on each other edge, all within a lozenge, expanding to form roundels at the edges. The terminal, catchplate and pin are broken. See MacGregor and Bolick 1993, p.121, no.14.3 for a similar example.
