Two joining fragments of a long cross silver Medieval hammered coin; probably a penny of Edward III to Richard II, AD 1327 to 1485. The coin is very worn and damaged, however a quatrefoil in the centre of the reverse long cross suggests it was a York Archepiscopal, minted in York.
The largest piece is 13.1mm long, 6.7mm wide, 0.4mm thick and weighs 0.29g. The second fragement is 12.3mm long, 5.9mm wide, 0.4mm thick and weighs 0.19g.
