A late Roman silver Siliqua. Possibly a "VRBS ROMA" or a "VIRTVS ROMANORVM" reverse type with an unknown emperor on the obverse. The coins features are very worn and the legend has been clipped, most likely due to Anglo-Saxon interference. The reverse has a seated figure, facing left, holding a vertical downward staff and an orb.

A fragment of a Roman gold coin, probably a contemporary copy of a solidus of the House of Valentinian (AD 364-78) with garbled legends. The obverse appears to be OH VALE[ ] which is probably copying D N VALE[NS or NTINIANVS P F AVG] and the reverse is [ ]ITVOR[ ] which most likely copies RESTIVTOR REI PVBLICAE or similar, with and emperor standing, holding Victory on globe and standard. The reverse depicts a beaded upright, which seems to be part of the pole of the standard.
