A lead alloy mount, possible a boss from a bridle bit. The mount is circular with a low convex front and a hollowed rear, The front of the mount is decorated with a series of moulded concentric bands around a low domed area at the centre. The bands are as follows (from the outer edge): A band of raised chevrons pointing inwards, a rope patterned band, a plain raised band, a band of pellets. A small cast copper alloy ring of Roman - Modern date (50 - 1800) - most probably Roman AD 50-350. The ring is broadly circular in plan and has a flat oval cross section. There is no obvious cast or incised decoration present. All surfaces have been finished and there are no file marks present. there is also no evidence for internal wear facets on the ring from use. The ring is a dark-green colour with a well developed, relatively thick, patina that covers all surfaces but is abraded in places. As the size is small it maybe a simple finger-ring. Probable Roman copper-alloy military harness pendant. It is pelta-shaped: crescent-like but with a smaller third tip dividing the inner edge into two equal arcs. An incomplete Medieval copper-alloy harness pendant, dating to AD 1250 - 1400. The main body of the object forms a sexfoil flower with a tapering triangular stem to a broken loop at the apex. The pendant would have formed the central dangler of a larger composite pendant. There are some very small flecks of gilding retained on the front surface.
