Both faces are decorated with seven raised radial ridges and groups of two or three raised pellets in each segment. The central hole tapers but there is no cavity in the side wall. This is a common type of spindle whorl, compare for example SWYOR-BDC721. Few have been found in dated contexts, but a medieval date of 1300 - 1500 is usually suggested. The whorl has a white patina.

an incomplete cast lead alloy figure. It is the figure of a lady wearing a long dress. it is in the style of a figurehead (statue at the front of a ship) as the lady is curved forward with ropes over her shoulders tethered to a stakes behind her feet. There is a break at the base of the figurine where it would have been attached to something. The break is old as it has worn. This could have been an attachment for a piece of furniture or vessel. Figureheads were common from the 16th century, so this is likely to be Post medieval. 54.61mm H x 8.44mm T x 12.17mm W 45.6g
