They are rectangular with a cylindrical rod running along the top, flattened at the uppermost, thinning towards the lower horizontal portion of the wings, before expanding again. An incomplete crescent shaped copper-alloy object of uncertain date.  Possibly a horse harness fitting such as a fitting from a fly terret. There is a very neat, central, circular, screw-threaded socket hole on the underside of the crescent which possibly suggests a Post-Medieval to Modern date (c. AD 1800-1950) although this is not definitive. The surface is patinated green consistent with copper-alloy corrosion. There are also patches of orange-brown corrosion on one side.
