A copper alloy probable candle holder. The object is in the form of a stylised cockerel with an integral conical socket, The bird has a long neck with a small, beaked head with stylised comb and wattle. There are moulded crescentic ridges on the sides of the body to indicate wings. The body extends downwards into a pair of legs, each with an angled joint and one complete with an expanded crescent shaped foot. It also extends back into a curved, spilt tail, with hooked ends. A complete copper alloy penannular brooch of Roman date (AD 43-410). Fowler Type D, Booth type D7, Bayley & Butcher, 2004, Type P4. The object is circular in section and plan, with the terminals of the brooch recurved over the ring and flattened. The terminals have a central notched waist with a groove to either side to emulated animal heads. The pin is retained and is composed of a thin tapered wire which is recurved around the body of the brooch. Diameter: 29.69mm, Thickness: 4.08mm, Weight: 4.8g The metal is dark green in colour with a slightly pitted patina.

A complete copper-alloy bracelet of Roman date (AD 250-410). The bracelet is composed of a recurved strip, which is broadly rectangular and D-shape in cross-section. From the squared terminal the side of the strip gradually narrow to an old worn transverse break. Most of the strip is plain. The larger terminal is decorated with four transverse grooves of varying width and depth. The underside is relatively flat and undecorated. Length: 55.13mm, Width: 63.87mm, Thickness: 2.92mm, Weight: 10.0g All surfaces have a mottled light to mid brown patination and are heavily worn and abraded.
