A pair of cast copper alloy clog or shoe fasteners, with stamped decoration and a flat section. These fasteners date from the post-medieval period. In plan, the fasteners are rectangular with an ovoid terminal. The attaching tag is sub-triangular on the ovoid terminal; it is rectangular in plan with a curved terminal at the opposite end. Decoration comprises curved solid lines, in low-relief, alternating with lines of small, stylised tulip-like low-relief marks. The attaching tag is sub-triangular on the ovoid terminal; it is rectangular in plan with a curved terminal at the opposite end. Decoration on this fastener is no longer discernible due to heavy corrosion. There are some traces of silvering on the reverse of the object.

Half of a pair of cast copper alloy clog or shoe fasteners, with stamped decoration and a flat section. These date to the post-medieval period. In plan, the fastener is rectangular with an ovoid terminal. The attaching tag is sub-triangular on the ovoid terminal; it is rectangular in plan with a curved terminal at the opposite end. Decoration comprises a foliate border with two flowers in the centre, one above the other. The background of the fasteners comprises extremely low-relief longitudinal, parallel striations. The reverse shows a mirrored version of the relief pattern.

An incomplete cast, copper-alloy hooked tag clothing fasteners of the 16th and 17th century A.D; with an openwork strap-loop decorated with two raised roses. Below the loop there is a three-looped openwork knot. Where the lower loop joins the hook there is a raised knop. The hooked section is D-shaped, but the tip has broken off.

Probably the head, and part of the shaft, of a Roman bronze/copper alloy pin. Both head and shaft are slightly oval in plan (the head is 8.5mm x 9.1mm, the shaft is 3.6mm x 4.1mm). There may be a trace of decoration, as there appears to be a line incised horizontally towards the top of the head.

Roman copper alloy Umbonate plate brooch, enameled, with eight projecting lugs (of which four survive). Probably 2nd Century AD onwards. The brooch is damaged and the pin is missing, but the single lug hinge and the catchplate are present on reverse. The face of the brooch is divided by two concentric raised bands into two bands of enamel, and a dished centre which may have held a glass bead or stone (plate now appears flat in profile). The inner of the two enamel bands has alternating radiating stripes of blue and red enamel, whilst the outer has lost its enamel. The brooch is 33.1m…
