A Late Medieval lead alloy cross and pellets token, London series, AD1425-1490. The obverse has a Tin workers strake, in the field surrounded by a border of oblique rays. The reverse has a central short cross pattee with a ring and dot in each angle surrounded by a border of oblique rays. Mitchiner and Skinner (1984:146 Plate 5 fig.42) illustrates a similar token. The oblique rays run in a clockwise direction upon both faces suggesting a London rather than Paris origin. The design is of initials reading: JB with groups of three pellets around. The metal is cream and grey in colour.
