An incomplete Post Medieval cast lead alloy toy plate, dating to c. AD 1500-1599. The plate was originally circular in plan but a portion is missing due to an old break and several tears. The central well of the plate is plain but the outer border decoration shows the plate divided into sixteen parts, each has a pair of opposing S shapes separated by lines with tendrils leading outwards. An incomplete Post Medieval lead alloy toy dish probably dating to the 17th century. The dish has moulded pelleted border around the rim, the pan contains two fish in high relief, placed on their sides, head to tail across the dish within a border of moulded pellets. Late post medieval possible toy pistol barrel fragment. The material from which it has been constructed appears to be something akin to spelter. It has been quite heavily abraded but the cross hatched decoration is still clearly visible. The pistol fragment is tubular with a perforated cap terminal, the opposite terminal is broken, but not recently. On the exterior of the barrel there is a integral scroll. Based on the material it is made from the object probably dates to the 19th century. The diameter is 36.1mm, length 30.55mm, total width 21.77mm thick, and the weight 18.96g.

It has moulded features including large circular eyes, and elongated triangular nose, pronounced circular cheeks and full lips. It has no defined pommel, but just a grip with concave sides, expanding to the guard and pommel terminal which are of equal width, and which are oval in cross-section. Incomplete modern toy whistle in the form of a pipe bowl, dating to the Late 19th early 20th C. The bowl is tapering oval in cross-section with the cylindrical stem projecting from one side, terminating in an old break. The base of the bowl exhibits a moulded design comprising regularly spaced pellets with a cusped border above. Just above the border, is a single row of pellets, each one sitting in the dip between cusps.

There is a small hole drilled through the tail. It is unclear what the fish was actually used for. A lead alloy minature boot or shoe, probably a game token or charm, post-medieval to modern in date (c. AD 1700 - 1950). The shoe has some damage including a split on the sole. The heel is defined and the sole has projections representing hobnails, or possibly studs if the item is intended to represent a football boot or golf shoe. The patina of the metal is of a mid grey colouring with some dusty buff patina. A similar object is described in record DUR-F09545. Length 21 mm, width 9 mm and weight 3.2 g.

The rider appears to be a soldier and this is likely to be part of a cavalry set of the type popular during the 20th century and made by companies such as Britains. Some red paint is retained. A complete copper alloy miniature toy cannon dating to the later 18th or 19th centuries. The object is cylindrical and tapers from the breech to the muzzle with two stepped bands at the mid section.There are flanking pivots on a central band, a touch hole on the breech and a cascabel on the rear end. The carriage is no longer present and would have likely been made of wood, so would not easily be preserved. The cannon would originally have been functional.
