A cast copper alloy spherical pommel from a medieval sword or knife/dagger. The pommel is in the form of a hollow sphere, with a broadly rectangular opening at the top and a broadly square and larger opening at the base. The top of the handle/tang would have fitted through these openings. The pommel has a pitted and uneven, patchy brown and green exterior surface. The inside of the pommel is similar, but with fewer brown patches on the surface.
