A complete copper alloy mount, probably from a vessel, dating to the Roman period (c.AD 43-200). The mount is in the form of a female bust comprising of the head and shoulders. The hair is elaborate with a central nodus and further rolls to the sides. The facial features are well defined and present almond shaped eyes with brow; the nose and mouth are worn. Below the head the shoulders are presented as rounded and are decorated with a stipple beaded collar that tops a finely ribbed edge to the mount that may represent drapery or jewellery. An incomplete copper alloy lunate or crescentic harness or apron pendant, of Early Roman dating (AD 43 to AD 200). The main body of the pendant is crescentic in plan with double knobbed terminals that meet in the middle at the base of the pendant. At the top of the cresent is a small knop. The reverse inner edge is chamfered and in the centre is a small projection for mounting. The pendant is a dark green colour. See BERK-DCEB17 for a similar shape but for a pendant.

The rings are spaced c.5mm apart with a 2mm gap between the outermost ring and the edge of the disc. An incomplete cast copper alloy stud or mount, probably Roman c.AD 43-410. The object has a flat circular head with a diameter of 17.05 mm and thickness of 1.23 mm. The head has a raised edge which surrounds a border with some green enamel surviving and including a circular section with red enamel. There is a central depression. On the underside of the head plate is a short circular-sectioned shank with a flattened circular terminal with a lip to one side. Diameter: 17.05 mm; Weight 2.12g.

A copper alloy roman harness fitting that has a narrow oval frame that would have had a trefoil at either end, but one is missing, the remaining terminal has a ring-and-dot decorating in each of the three arms. The oval plate is formed from a convex vasica shape with a concave reverse surrounded by a flat, flanged border. On the reverse are two rearward facing rectangular loops mounted to either side of the plate (21mm long, 6mm high).

An incomplete Roman military copper alloy pelta mount (c.AD 100-300). The 'front' of the item is slightly raised in comparison to the flattened 'back'. It is badly corroded, but there is no evidence of any attachment scars or fittings. While this item is similar to horse fittings (e.g. Nicolay type A11), the absence of attachment fittings suggest such items were vessel mounts (Edwin Wood, pers. comm.).

It has a central rib flanked by convexities and has an integral rivet in the centre of the recessed reverse. Measurements are; length 13.9mm, width 20.2mm, thickness (including pin) 8.4mm and weight 3.42g. The pin is 6.0mm long. Compare NMS-C1F585, NMS-75B5AB and LIN-A9C66E which are classified as Nicolay (2007), Type B6, (pl. 73, no. 142.1.)

The bird is modelled with its wings folded against its back, the feathers being indicated by finely-spaced diagonally incised strokes.
