A fragment of silver finger-ring of Medieval date. The fragment weighs 0.47g and has a sub-rectangular shape with parallel sides and slightly diagonal transverse breaks at either end. These breaks appear to be quite fresh as they are not abraded. It has a sub-rectangular cross-section with flattened upper and lower surfaces (originally the external and internal surfaces of the loop) and convexly rounded sides. A Medieval to Post-Medieval silver gilt finger ring dating to c. AD 1400-1550. The ring consists of a plano-convex band with slightly carinated, flat shoulders and a sub-rectangular bezel. The latter is triangular in cross section and both of its upper facets are concave in profile.
