A complete copper-alloy button of Post-Medieval date AD c.1450-`1600. The button is circular in plan and plano-convex in cross section, with a small apical point. The front face is decorated with circular beaded lines. The reverse is flat and has no decoration. An incomplete 17th century tombac domed pimple button. Hemi-spherical solid domed body with a slightly protruding pimple in the centre. The reverse has the remains of a soldered attachment loop in the centre most of which is now missing. The surface displays a shiny silver colour with traces of corrosion. Diameter 14.1mm, height 6.7mm and weight 4.8g. See G Bailey (2004) Buttons & Fasteners, p.33, fig.8.13.

An incomplete copper alloy button or cloak fastener of post-medieval date, c. 1600-1700. The button is of composite two-piece construction with the remains of an integral iron shank to the reverse. It is sub-spherical in shape and hollow in construction, with a floral openwork design composed of four petals with complex pelleted spiral decoration in between, alongside four more smaller triangular recesses between petals. A domed button of the 97th (Earl of Ulster’s) Regiment of Foot, formed in 1824 and amalgamated in 1881 into the Queen's Own (). Decorated with a crowned strap with the legend “THE EARL OF ULSTERS REGIMENT” and XCVII to the centre, surrounded by roses, thistles, and clovers, and a scroll with the legend “QUO FAS ET GLORIA DUCUNT” below. An incomplete, copper alloy button of Medieval to Post Medieval date (c. AD 1450-1700). The button is circular in plan and is biconical, with a more pronounced domed obverse. There is the remnant of an integral shank on the reverse, though most of it has now disappeared. There is no evidence of there having been an apical on the button. The object has a dark green and light green patina. There are potentially similar items recorded on the Portable Antiquities Scheme database, including NARC-CEFAC3, and NLM-5AB99F. Dimensions. A complete 16th century solid lead discoidal button.  The reverse is flat and plain except for a clear casting line which passes next to one side of the integral loop.  The loop is rectangular in plan and has an oval hole through the main body.   The front is convex, decorated with a crude five petaled flower, each petal being formed in relief with an accompaning outline.  Inbetween each of the petals are two concentric semi-circles that terminate at the buttons edge.  The top of the button and one petal are abraded.

An incomplete, cast lead tin alloy (pewter) button of Post Medieval date (AD 1600-1700). Only a fragment of the button that is sub-trapezoidal in plan survives. The button would have been circular and had a domed front and concave reverse.
