An incomplete Post-Medieval copper alloy 'tombac' button, consisting of the upper domed plate dating c. AD 1600-1800. Only the domed front hemisphere is present - it is discoidal, convex and D shaped in cross-section. The outer dome is decorated with an incised design of a double concentric triangle, with the central triangle carrying incised transverse grooves in each arm, generating a further central triangle. A complete lead alloy button dating to the post medieval period (c.AD 1500-1600). The button has a solid, domed head that is undecorated. The base of the head is flat and in the centre is an integral, circular attachment loop. The object has a dark cream patina. Dimensions: Length 8.7mm; diameter 10.2mm; weight 2.04g Similar buttons are illustrated in Read (2010, 72-4) though these typically have decorated heads, they date from the 16th-17th century.

A complete cast lead button, dating to the Medieval to Post-medieval period, about AD 1400 - 1600. The button has a circular head with a domed top with a prominent front decoration comprising of a stylised flower motif with eight petals radiating from a central point. The reverse of the head is flat and from it projects an integral, bent oval loop. The loop is flat with a small circular hole through it.
