Incomplete Medieval cast tin alloy buckle, c.AD 1250-1500. This is a single-looped, D-shaped buckle with a scooped reverse face. There are no notches on the frame or strap bar where the pin would have sat. The frame is damaged with pieces missing and edged with old breaks. There is no evidence that the frame has a core of copper alloy that was tinned, suggesting an older Medieval date of this buckle. There is no decoration on any face of the frame.

This is a post medieval oval buckle with a stud chape. The style is typical of Marshall's type V buckle from the 17th - 18th centuries. These small buckles were used on shoes and for fastening knee breeches. The buckle pin is now broken but the buckle itself is in very good condition for its age. The buckle appears to be in white metal, whilst the chape is in copper alloy mounted on an iron pin.

Medieval or Post Medieval white metal buckle, 25mm in diameter and 5mm thick. The object is in good condition with a silver/grey patina and weighs 2.19 grams. The object resembles a scalloped annular brooch and has a curved upper surface and a flat underside. Each curve has a small knop protruding from it and it has an irregular thickness, suggesting poor casting? The feature that identifies it as a buckle is the remains of a shaft with a semi-circular section, protruding into the centre of the object. Given its size it must be a purely decorative buckle.
