Rim fragment of silver gilt vessel with punched decoration, measuring 23.8x13.2x1.5mm and weighing 3.20g. Breaks seem relatively fresh. The bowl would have originally been c.140mm in diameter. The fragment is decorated on both surfaces. On the outside surface, which is concave, below a thin rib flanking the rim, are the remains of a line of conjoined Vs in circular punches. The resulting triangles are gilt up to the rim, and below plain silver. The reverse has two parallel lines of circular punches below a thin rib.
