A complete copper alloy, enamelled harness pendant dating to the medieval period (c. AD 1200-1372). The pendant is shield-shaped and rectangular in cross-section. An incomplete worn harness mount dating to the medieval period AD c.1250-1450. The mount is made of copper alloy, evident in the green/dark brown patina and light green corrosion evidence on the back of the mount. It is in the shape of a shield and is decorated with enamel, showing a heraldic design of the lion rampant. The lion has worn away so only a recessed pattern is visible in a field of blue (azure). Copper alloy harness pendant hanger. A tiny trapezoid plate, wedge-shaped in profile, with paired oval loops below it with traces of a lost spindle between them. The plate is charged with a lion rampant left rendered in brick red enamel while gilding traces appear on the loop. The edge of a drilled circular hole appears between plate and loop. The pendant consists of a central lozengiform plate and integral and protruding from each outer edge is a rounded knop. The pendant is decorated with a lion rampant facing right on a field of blue (azure) enamel.
