An incomplete copper alloy crossbow Brooch of Roman date (AD 200-300). The object is composed of rounded wings, with a convex front and flat back. The wings are decorated with an integral design forming bulbous knops preceded by two raised collars. A vertical protrusion extends upwards from the centre of the wings with is decorated in the same form as the wings. An incomplete copper-alloy Trumpet brooch (Group A: Bayley and Butcher 2004, 160 ,fig.130) of Roman date, c.AD 75-150.
Only the bow re mains. The bow has a sub-circular cross section and both terminals end at a worn rounded break. The top of the bow is triangular in shape and opens out to two decorative central disks, which wraps round the back of the brooch. The lower bow is also sub triangular in shape, ending at a pointed broken terminal.

Distorted lower part of the bow of a Roman copper alloy bow brooch with a solid catchplate, probably a Colchester Derivative. The D-sectioned bow tapers very slightly from the non-recent break to a foot knob consisting of two rounded elements, a transverse rib and the foot itself, both of which project from the front only. Lower part of the bow of a Roman copper alloy bow brooch, probably a Colchester Derivative, with the tip missing and with abraded and pockmarked surfaces. Both breaks are old. The tapering cross-section is triangular with a probably beaded median rib. The catchplate, which as been inserted into a slot, does not survive above the surfaceof the reverse. Weight 2.88g. Roman copper-alloy enamelled brooch, apparently a hybrid of bow and plate types, complete except for the hinged pin, much of the enamel and perhaps the tip of one of the wings. The wings are cylindrical and contain an axis bar in-situ. One is slightly shorter than the other, the shorter one perhaps terminating in a worn break. They are divided by a pin slot at the rear.

A probable Roman period copper alloy keyhole or fantail brooch, as Hattatt Figure 168. The decorative feature is a circle, divided into quarters with two diagonal lines. Opposing quarters are filled with enamel in yellow and red. Attached to this are the corroded remains of a foot or other feature, with ribs running horizontally across this. On the back is part of the catch mechanism. It has some similarities with the more complete artefact CORN-FF6820, or NMS-018A86
