The central body is roughly drop-shaped and domed. An apparently complete copper alloy possible mount of unknown date, possibly Roman, c AD43 - 410. It is an inverted drop shape with a scallop shell moulding at the rounded apex. The pointed plate is rectangular in section and flat. On its upper surface is a slightly raised cell which echoes the shape of the plate itself, and has a flange around it with slightly sloping sides which creates a bowl effect.
