A cut fragment originating from a sestertius struck for Faustina I, dating to c. AD 161-175. Reece period 8. Reverse: uncertain due to wear and cutting of the coin. Mint of Rome. This fragment consists c. 20% of the original flan, with the edges apparently having been hammered into a square shape before a neat truncation has removed this slice from one edge. The motivation for this action may have been votive in character, though this remains uncertain.

The earliest coin in the group is a legionary denarius of Mark Antony (issued c. 32BC-31BC) and the latest a denarius of Commodus dated to AD 190-191.
