Walker published nine examples of cast asses from the 'casting mint' with FORT RED reverse type: Walker, 1988: p. 292, nos. 22-30, pl. XXXII.

Mint of Rome. RIC II, p. 339, no. 4b variant, which lacks the cornucopiae under the chair on the reverse image (see below note). Diameter: 19mm; thickness: 2mm. Weight: 2.89g. Richard Abdy (pers. comm.) believes this coin to be a plated forgery with copper-alloy core. The bulge on the reverse is probably the result of a bloom of copper corrosion.

RIC Vol II, p. 345, no.47. There are file marks along the edge of the coin. What is significant about this find is that there is graffito etched into the thickest edge of the coin (IIIV).
