An incomplete and undecorated Bronze Age copper-alloy Picardy pin (1400 BC-1250 BC). This object is circular in cross-section throughout its length with a cell/recess at the top and a swollen shaft. At the top, the sides of the cell are vertical. From here the sides taper inwards and then flare outwards before gently tapering inwards towards a transverse break at the bottom. An incomplete Bronze Age cast copper-alloy socketed gouge (c. 1150 BC-c. 800 BC). This is the lower part including the cutting edge. It is 'C'-shaped in cross-section and has a pronounced furrow throughout its length on the rear face. In plan, the sides taper inwards from the break at the top to the cutting edge at the bottom. The distance between the base of the socket and the base of the cutting edge is about 21.75mm. On the rear face, just below the break, there is a circular hole, about 2.32mm in diameter. This zoomorphic brooch features two serpents (or snakes), is circular in plan and sub-circular in cross-section. The first serpent's body forms the frame. Its head, with indistinct features, is damaged due to a break and is, consequently, turned upwards at an angle of about 90°. The upper half of a biconvex pin-head formed from a complete and worn post-Medieval copper-alloy Nuremberg jetton of Hans Krauwinckel II (fl. 1586-1635). This coin brooch has been made from removing the centre of an Edward III (1327-1377) Pre-Treaty period, Series D (1352-1353) silver groat, minted at London. The king's head on the obverse and the pellets on the reverse have been removed to form a circular frame with a circular opening, 10.4mm in diameter. It originated in Antwerp and is identifiable as being made by Bernard Foncq - B - F at the sides of the hand within a double circle of stars. Obverse: crowned sun with LXXI above.
