Two fragments of a silver early medieval penny of either Edmund (939-46) or Eadred (946-55), Horizontal/Two-line type (reverse type HT1; North 688 or 706), moneyer: Baldwin, mint: uncertain (Mercia/Wessex?). Ref: North 1994: 138, 141.
The coin is in two adjoining pieces, an uneven break separating the two fragments. Together they form approximately a third of the coin. The coin weighs 0.43g. 17.5mm long (both pieces joined), 9.6mm wide and 0.8mm thick.

A complete Roman copper alloy finger ring with a blue glass intaglio dating from c.AD 150-350.
The ring has rounded a D-shaped band that terminates with a pair of lateral projections at either side of the bezel. The band has a diameter of 20mm. Faint filing marks are visible on the band. The bezel (9.5mm in diameter) is flat and circular and holds in the centre a damaged blue glass intaglio of a carved human face. The reverse of the bezel is flat and has a small perforation to one side.

An incomplete and corroded Roman copper alloy and enamel disc brooch dating to c. AD 100-200. The brooch is discoidal, decorated with a central triskele motif on the front face. Fragments of enamel may be retained on the front face, but it is corroded and is delaminating, making this difficult to ascertain. The reverse is flat and undecorated, with a souble D-shaped lug, retaining an axis bar and the pin in situ. The catchplate is complete.

A complete Roman copper alloy and enamel umbonate plate brooch dating to c. AD 100-200. The brooch is discoidal, with a raised central boss surrounded by an integral groove and a plain border. An incomplete Roman copper-alloy plate brooch dating to c.AD 100-200. It is a skeuomorphic (shoe shaped) brooch. The brooch is flat in plan. It expands from the tip of the 'toe' end to it's widest point at one-third of it's length; from this point it shallowly narrows symmetrically before slightly expanding at the rounded heel. A complete post-medieval copper-alloy 2 Ör (Ore) of Gustavus II Adolphus of Sweden (1611-32), klippe form, dated 1626 struck on a square flan at the mint of Sater or Nykoping (Sweden; KM#107Sweden). Ref: Krause, Mishler and Bruce 1999: 1142.
The flan is a little corroded and there is some damage at the top. The coin appears to be complete.
Obverse: central crown with the letters GAR beneath, and the letter S in the line below.
Reverse: central sheaf motif, with the number '2' to the immediately left, and the letters 'ÖR' to the right. The date 1626 is below.

A lead strap end dating to the Early Medieval period (c. AD 750-1100). Possibly Read Class E. The strap end consists of a rectangular frame. On one side there is decoration present in the form of curvilinear patterns. There is a rectangular border around this which acts as the limits of the object on the lateral edges. Beneath the decoration is an undecorated lower plate. The object is broken at the other end. The reverse of the object is plain, with a small projection of metal on the top edge.

A copper alloy Early Medieval hooked escutcheon from a hanging bowl, probably dating from AD 500 - 700. The plate is broadly shield shaped, with a flat top and curved sides tapering towards each other, but there is a rounded projection at the base. This shape probably represents a bird as a whole.
The zoomorphic hook in the form of a bird's head projects from the centre of the flat top. It is decorated with three grooves running along the back of the hook, and terminates in a stylised rounded head and long tapering and downward curving beak. There are recesses to represent the eyes…

A gilded copper-alloy fragment, probably part of a wide equal arm brooch, of Early-Medieval date, c.AD 410-500. The copper-alloy plate is sub-triangular in plan and rectangular in section. One long, straight edge remains with rounded breaks at either end. The other sides of the plate are formed of irregular, rounded breaks.

A copper alloy zoomorphic Anglo-Saxon hook from a hanging bowl. The object is curved in profile and is elaborately cast in the form of a beast, possibly a dog.
The terminal of the beast has an elongated snout which is D-shaped in cross-section. Sitting above the snout within a raised border or collet are two circular eyes formed out of green glass. The glass is degraded and appears 'frosted', but is translucent when a light is shone across. Between and joining the eyes are two moulded ridges separated with a groove. An incomplete copper alloy of toggle of dumbell type, dating to the Iron Age (100 BC - AD 100).
The object is formed from a bulbous central boss with an arm projecting from each side. Each arm has a narrowed waist which expands to form circular terminals. Each terminal has a flattened face containing an S-shaped motif with expanded trumpet-like ends surrounded by recesses which would have held enamel and a raised border. An almost complete copper alloy pin with a kite shaped head of Early-medieval date. Only the tip of the pin is missing due to a recent break. The head is lozenge shaped with knops at each angle. Each face of the head is decorated with a central incised cross. Between the head of the object and the shaft is a transverse collar. The shaft is oval in cross-section and measures 45mm in length but is bent forwards. If straightened it would be approximately 65mm in length (not including the head).
