An incomplete cast copper-alloy fragment of the fork or stirrup from a portable hand balance dating to the 11th or 12th centuries.
Description: The central plate is flat and semi-circular in plan with a drilling at the rear and a projected loop on the outside edge, both 'worn open' and one arm of an integral forked spacer remaining. Decoration on both sides in the form of punched circles with dots in the centre are present on the arm, around the perimeter of the plate and to make a cross in the centre of the plate. The surface has a dark green patina.

A copper alloy medieval to post-medieval (AD c.1400-c.1700) chafing dish handle terminal.
This handle lug is in the shape of a human hand clasped to make a loose fist, the fingers and thumb of which are clearly shown via grooves. Through the centre of the fist there is an open hole (c.6.20 mm across), which presumably held the drop handle of the chafing dish. Above the wrist the lug abruptly narrows and from its centre projects a square-sectioned rod. This rod has diagonal transverse grooves along each face, possibly an early form of screw thread.

The die is circular in shape and has a cylindrical handle. At the top of the handle is a broad collar that is double faceted, above which is a flattened, rounded suspension loop that has an off centre circular perforation.

An incomplete cast copper-alloy stirrup strap mount of Williams Class A, Type 11 of unclassified sub-type, dating c.11th century.
Description: The strap mount is near complete but missing its apex. The mount has a body with convex rounded sides with a flat base and narrows towards the apex. The mount is openwork with a backward facing beast left with the sides forming a frame for the beast. The field of the beast is entirely openwork. Below the beast is a solid rectangular panel with two rivet holes and a right angle flange. The mount has a light orangey brown patination.

incomplete cast copper-alloy book fitting, dating to the medieval period, c. AD 1350-1450. The fitting appears to be of Howsam class A.1. The main body of the fitting is comprised of a circular central portion 10.8mm in height, with a drilled hole at the centre. from one edge emerges a zoomorphic head pointing downward, toward the base of the fitting. On it can be seen moulded decoration depicting ears, as well as a constriction defining the snout or muzzle, and beneath, an incised line defining the mouth.

An incomplete cast copper alloy probable "socketed hook" strap fitting of Early Medieval date, AD 1000 - 1100. The front of the fitting is roughly cross shaped, with rounded terminals and concave or curved corners between the arms of the cross. Below the cross is an oval panel before the base is broken. The cross is decorated with a raised line border, perhaps a double border, with double lines across the base of each arm terminal. There are also curved lines within the central lozenge shaped area in the middle of the cross. The oval panel also has a line border.

The obverse depicts the busts of St Peter and St Paul each within an inverted pear shaped compartment defined by pellets. On the right, St Peter's beard and hair are shown to be curly by the use of pellets. A near complete copper-alloy and enamelled Early-Medieval buckle, dating from circa AD 700-800.
The object is broadly an inverted triangle in plan with an expanded zoomorphic projection at the tip. The zoomorphic projection has oval shaped moulded eyes and a triangular snout or nose. The main body of the buckle then expands to the opposing upper edge which features two broadly rectangular projections at the outer corners. A third projection is located at the centre and is triangular in form and extends down on to the body of the buckle.

Medieval, copper-alloy, large, circular mount depicting the white boar of Richard III, dating to the later 15th century (1470-1485). The mount is gilded, silvered and enamelled and consists of two parts: a decorated disc held in a separate circular frame which has integral rivets and separate roves.

The surviving fragment represents a man's head. The man has long hair and wearing a hat with a decorative band around the brim.. The reverse is flat and breaks worn. it has a mid to dark green patina.

The general style of the figure represented here suggests a very late medieval to very early post-medieval date and although likely from a decorative mount it has not yet been possible to suggest what kind of object it was mounted on.

An enamelled copper alloy disc or plaque, decorated with a picture of a woman's face and a incomplete border of pale blue enamel with the remains of some gilding. It is probably of Medieval date, about AD 1100 - 1300, based on the similarity of style to Limoges and Mosan champlevé enamel work of that period.
