The coin has been heavily clipped removing upper parts of some letters in the inscription. It is possible that the coin has been doublestruck.
The coin with its four lis in the first quarter of the shield is not listed in North. Woodhead (1996: pl. 20, text for no 199) discusses a very similar example for Henry IV, suggesting it was produced from early dies and tentatively places it in the second/light coinage.&n…
