Silver penny of Edward IV (1461 - 1483), from a local Durham die, minted under Archbishop Lawrence Booth c. 1471-1476. The coin has been clipped so that much of the inscription is lost. North 1662.
Obverse is crowned bust facing. Two crosses above crown. Inscription illegible.
Reverse is long cross with D in centre. Pellets in each angle. Inscription illegible.
