A complete silver Early Medieval cut farthing of Cnut (1016-1035), 'Pointed Helmet' type (North 787) dating to c.AD 1024-30, mint: London, moneyer: unknown. Ref: North 1994: 168; Screen 2015: cf. nos 2899, 2950-2, 2956, 3033 for mint spelling.  Measurements: length 9.78mm, width 8.58mm, thickness 0.73, weight 0.27g. The surviving reverse inscription [  ]NDN[ ] is likely a portion of the mint name and is listed for London in Cnut's 'Pointed Helmet' issue, e.g. LVNDN, LVNDNN (see Screen 2015).
