An early medieval silver penny of Æthelred II. The coin is a First Hand type with obverse showing diademed bust right and the legend +ÆÐELRED REX ANG. The reverse shows the hand of providence issuing from clouds with AW to the sides and the legend + ÐEODGILD MO LIND (Theodgeld moneyer Lincoln mint). North 766. An incomplete copper-alloy and silver imitation of an early medieval silver penny of Æthelred II (AD 978-1016), Second Hand type (North 768), dating to c.
