A very worn and incomplete Medieval silver halfpenny, possibly of Henry IV (1399-1413 AD). Due to the poor condition of this coin and heavy clipping, a full identification is difficult to determine.
Obverse: Crowned ruler facing
Obverse legend: [HENRIC REX] ANGLIE
Reverse: Long cross pattee with three pellets in each quadrant
Reverse legend: CIVI[TAS] [LON]DON
Although a portion of the legend is missing which corresponds to the name of the ruler, the closed 'E' in 'ANGLIE' and the style of legend and circular punch on the bust's neck supports this suggested identification. T…
