Complete silver penny of Henry VII (AD 1485-1509), Sovereign penny (AD 1485-1509) (North 1724-1731, Spink 2233 - end date as of Spink 2003), Durham mint.
Worn on both sides, slightly clipped, with a single hole punched through the coin, just to the right of the throne.
Obverse: Double struck, king sat on throne holding orb and sceptre. Legend: Missing due to clipping and wear.
Reverse: Quartered shield imposed on long cross, mitre above. Legend: CIVI TAS DUR HEME

An incomplete, silver Medieval penny dating to the reign of Edward III (AD 1327-1377). Fourth coinage, Pre-Treaty Period (AD 1351-1361), likely Series C (AD 1351-1352) and minted in Durham by Thomas Hatfield, Prince-Bishop of Durham (AD 1345-1381). Part of the flan appears to be missing from around 11 o'clock to 5 o'clock and potentially from 6 o'clock to 7 o'clock on the obverse.
